Led a team of 7 responsible for managing all production computing systems and infrastructure reporting to the Head of IT for the UK.

  • Carried out one of the first company-wide implementations of Lotus Notes in the UK. Nine subsequent years' experience of groupware and workflow applications.
  • Established, in 1991, one of the first PC networks in the UK to use fully automated software installation and distribution - features that Microsoft first made available in its SMS product in the mid-1990s.
  • Developed an innovative location-sensitive mobile PC configuration to allow travelling users to roam on, off, and between networks on the corporate WAN.
  • Managed the relocation of computing facilities to new premises, including tendering and selection of contractors for computer room, network, and cabling infrastructure.
